Membership in the Northern Ohio Perennials Society (NOPS) provides a variety of benefits:
- The ability to meet and share with avid gardeners in the area
- Interesting and informative programs that are held at the Cleveland Botanical Garden in January, February March, September and October
- Participation in our members-only plant exchanges are held in the Spring
- Receipt of our bi-monthly newsletter, The Perennial News which contains information on programs, activities, garden-related topics and contributions from members
- The members-only ability to tour exclusive private gardens during our summer garden tours
- Our handbook, “Growing Perennials in Northeast Ohio,” was written by NOPS members from their extensive knowledge of gardening. It is full of planting techniques, design and placement ideas, and suggested varieties that work best in our area. It is available to members at a discounted price of $11.
Our membership, about 100, welcomes beginning to highly-experienced gardeners. Annual dues are extremely reasonable, ranging from $20 to $25 depending on the time of year one joins.
